Mentorship Program
This program is an opportunity for returning management students to help first year students feel more at home in their new university environment. The program is now run through the First Year Office - the MUS collects applications and selects good candidates, who are then forwarded to the First Year Office. You can apply to be a mentor through the MUS Appointed Positions Package in March.
Being a mentor does not take up a lot of time. You will be contacted by the First Year Office at the beginning of the summer and assigned to an incoming student. The onus is on the mentors to make the first contact by emailing their mentees. Throughout the summer, mentors answer questions and provide general guidance to their mentees.
Once the school year starts, mentors usually meet with their incoming students in person and continue to serve as a resource to them throughout the subsequent year.
