JDC is recognized as the largest inter-university undergraduate competition in North
America. Each year, delegates from 13 business schools from across eastern Canada
unite at a host school. More than 1,400 undergraduate business students compete in
various disciplines, including academic cases, debates, stock simulations, sporting
competitions and a social challenge.

The Human Resources Symposium is an annual inter-university competition that
challenges students to demonstrate their presentation skills and knowledge of
organizational behaviour and human resources. The symposium consists of four
academic competitions, including an HR case, an HR quiz, a grievance arbitration case
and a collective bargaining case. This year, a sports challenge has also been added to
the roster of events.

The Financial Open (Omnium Financier) is an inter-university academic case competition
that brings together the best students in finance and accounting from over 10 schools
across Eastern Canada. Students test their business and presentation skills in six finance
and accounting cases, as well as a stock simulation. The Financial Open also presents an
excellent opportunity to network with sponsoring companies.
This year's Financial Open will be hosted at Desautels from February 5th to 7th, the first external competition to be hosted at McGill in more than ten years! If you are interested in helping organize the competition, please contact Keeley [ keeley.doherty@mail.mcgill.ca ].

Happening Marketing is the fourth and final inter-university REFAEC competition of the
year. Delegates from business schools across eastern Canada come together to compete
academically in the field of marketing. In addition to the five academic cases and the
marketing quiz, participants explore and develop their social skills through social and
sports competitions. Marketers need to be well-rounded individuals and this is one of the
objectives of HM.
